		&amp;ldquo;The M represents the Kaimai range of hills or if you wish, a mountain wave, or if you really squint it is a seagull (representing free flight or some such thing).&lt;/p&gt;
	&lt;p&gt;
		The S is representative of the Waitoa river (or Waihou) which lead to Matamata but also can be seen as the path to freedom ending at the glider.&lt;/p&gt;
	&lt;p&gt;
		The C, together with the S form a plinth or stand for the glider.&amp;nbsp; (Now isn&amp;rsquo;t that creative thinking?!!)&lt;/p&gt;
	&lt;p&gt;
		Finally, it has a Japanese-like form to it &amp;ndash; this could be the Che Feng (or whatever you call it) soothing aspect&amp;hellip;&amp;nbsp; Just kidding, -&amp;nbsp; I&amp;rsquo;ve put my glasses back on&lt;/p&gt;

	MATAMATA SOARING CENTRE INCORPORATED&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	The purposes of the Society are:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	1.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; To promote, develop, foster, and administer gliding, mainly as an amateur sport for the well-being, benefit, and recreation of the public in New Zealand.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	2.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; To organise, promote, encourage, run, and conduct flying meetings, camps, instructional courses, pageants, displays, contests, and occasions when flying is to be done in the vicinity of the airfield or other facilities so provided.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	3.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; To provide facilities and services for the operation and use of gliders and other aircraft; the refreshment, convenience, accommodation, of pilots and other persons connected with or interested in flying and the maintenance, repair, construction, servicing, fuelling, storage, and the handling of gliders, other aircraft, and auxiliary equipment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	4.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; To liaise, consult, advocate, or engage with other organisations on matters which may affect the sport of gliding.&lt;/p&gt;
